Not wanting this to happen straight away but i think Mancini could be the right man to coach and give Micah the confidence to play in central defence again.Kompany and Richards together could work in my opinion. What do others on this board think.

Why should or would we want him at CB with Vinnie?
We have the current best right back in Britain, and getting a fair shout for best RB in Europe IMO, So we unsettle the back line by shifting Vinnie over to Left Centre so Micah can go to RB, then we lose the best RB around and have to find another (although Zab is pretty awesome), what makes you think Vinnie can take up the Left Centre position, IMO Lescott is doing a grand job there and the partnership is still strong.

He is good getting forward and his crossing is improving by the day, i think he could do a good job in the middle but is better employed where he is.

Micahs best position is right back. It's the position he's good at. Why change it? There aren't many better right backs out there to replace him.

He still needs to work on those girlie throw-ins though...

What happened to his long throw-ins?

He used to have a pretty decent one when he first broke into the team, not quite Delap-esque, but pretty long all the same, but we never see it now.

No way!
Hughes cluelessness nearly wrecked his city career by playing him there.
Micah's attributes are speed, strength and aggression which make him an awesome RB.
Positional play, anticipation and reading the game are not his strong points and this got him into trouble time and again at CB.
Definitely leave him at RB.

100% agreed.

yeah lets put one of the best rb in the prem in cb when we already have plenty of decent CB's i didnt get this post.

why, would Mancini do this.

he is looking like the best right back in the prem at the moment.

strong, sure and fast on defense and could have 4 assists to his name in 2 matches already.

this

plus our defense has a serious weakness in the air this needs addressing we still need a commanding centre back who can cope with the aerial bombardments

this should be our priority and micah has rb sorted at the moment

Richards is anything but a central defender. He is a natural wing back and that is the end of it.
