Richards Back Into Central Defence.

He really needs to work on that exagerated dive he does - the one where he looks like he's been fired out of a cannon - it's so bad he never wins a free kick and he looks a bit of a tit making all that effort for nothing.

I'd leave him at RB he is settled now and is finding some form. Should get some more England caps over the next 10 years.

No way!
Hughes cluelessness nearly wrecked his city career by playing him there.
Micah's attributes are speed, strength and aggression which make him an awesome RB.
Positional play, anticipation and reading the game are not his strong points and this got him into trouble time and again at CB.
Definitely leave him at RB.
I think you may find it was Sven who played him there first (and had a good season) and had Corluka at RB

Hasn't he played there with the under 21's as well quite often. And since when don't you need positional play.anticipation and reading the game at full back? Probably more so I would say.

I think that if he did move back to CB it would be a time when Savic has reached his best and will play at RB but at the moment I see no point of changing something that works

Bob as done a good job to get him playing as he is at rb.
Leave well alone!

He's gonna get better and better at RB. Once Capello and his successor realise that Micah is the first choice England RB, he'll never get another game in the middle of defence unless there's some injury to someone in the CB berth.

He can't play there from what we have seen to this point. His positional awareness is just not good enough. Constantly out of position only his pace saves him.

At this point he's a right back and I can't see him improving to the extent required to play for a top team at centre half.

At the moment we have at least 5 players at the club we would play there before Richards. Apart from anything he doesn't see himself as a central defender and doesn't want to play there. It's taken him years to get back in at right back for England after messing around in the centre he's made it clear numerous times since he wants to play at right back moving forwards.
