Yep. Still don't get the problem. The boy says he wants to be playing regularly. He says that he understands why people would think he's crazy for wanting to leave City right now, but that for him playing is the most important thing. Fair enough.

He mentions SWP being frustrated - is that really even worth a batting of the eyelid. After all Jo is getting premiership games ahead of him. He mentions AJ. Well, AJ said as much not two months ago. Again, hardly shocking.

Really I don't understand this need by people on this forum to castigate players - it's almost like you're all harking for the good old days before agents and tabloids and internet forums. You can't un-invent the wheel. As Mancini would say "this is football". We should just get on with it and not throw tantrums whenever a player says he wants to leave.

Micah keeps getting called a bitch and a pussy and stupid etc. Maybe it's time us supporters man up just a little and accept what the modern game and the modern professionals have become.

Why should we accept anything just because the status quo exists?

It isn't just us to be fair. I pissed myself laughing at some old clown on GMR on Saturday. He rang in to castigate the modern player because in his day they used to work down the pit the night before and walk to the ground. He finished by castigating Match of the Day for being anti-Bolton.

His fault is he doesn't want to be apart of something special, same goes for Given who came here to win trophies.

The thing is he is actually playing, which basically discredits some of what he is complaining about. We are rotating players and if you are training hard and impressing you will get into the team, simple as that. He can't possibly think he is going to be moving to a club like Chelsea or God forbid the scum anytime soon, so if he wants to spend the rest of his career playing for Blackburn, so be it.

But that is stereotyping to the extreme Dave. I don't personally associate myself with any of the above traits but I do think that there was no need for this interview as it serves no positive purpose for anyone concerned.

I don't understand how the fucl players can get away with blabbing off to the newspapers, especially when it paints the team (or manager) in a bad light by exhibiting dissatisfaction. I can't think of any other industry apart from sport where employees get to shoot their gob off without receiving any come-back from it.

He's a fucling employee, paid fantastically to do a job and if that job means rotating with another person then he should just get on with it. If he doesn't like it then he can submit a transfer request and not go whining to the newspapers.

It's up to him to prove to Mancini that he is so good, and so much better than his counterpart, that he becomes a regular 1st team choice like Tevez, Kompany, Hart, NDJ etc. If he isn't performing to that level then he can't bitch if he is regularly rotated. Whining about it isn't going to convince anyone, he needs to prove it on the pitch.

Personally, I think Zabs should have that RB position this season and Micah should be sat there hoping he gets a few rotated games to prove himself. There is no way on this earth that he is so much better than Zabs (Jerome maybe), that he should be 1st team pick every game.

Just curious but would you change your opinion if you found out that Mancini and the club had sanctioned Micah's interview knowing he was going to talk about wanting first team football?

Part of the reason we have the great players we have in this league, is because of our press. They keep football in the headlines, keep people interested, keep people subscribing to sky etc. It's part and parcel of any entertainment industry, and I'm surprised more people don't accept that...you take the rough with the smooth...

If that was the case then yes - I would have to, though I would think the club silly for doing so and Micah silly for saying what he has said.

He could have stated his desire for first team football without bringing other players into it or making it look like he would go elsewhere if he wasn't guaranteed it. Especially for England whom 90% of match going blues don't give a fuck about.
