A quick post to let people know that a real old school Blue passed away yesterday, 13th April after a nasty and ugly fight against cancer and other complications during which he never lost his dignity or his sense of humour and decency.
Len was a man who gave up a well paid engineering job to become a postman because he knew he would then be delivering post to Maine Road.
Len was a man who moved his family to Thornton Road to be as close to the old ground as possible.
Len was a man who knew the greats from the 50's and 60's very well and went to school with some of them.
He gave his friend Neil Youngs name as the middle name of one of his sons.
There will never be a nicer guy ever and there will never be a person any more fervently and definitely Blue as Len.
And I am so, so proud to have known him and ever more proud and pleased to had him as my dad.
