Apparently passed away last night per NBC.

Lee Dixon taking leave from their commentary team to mourn.

Used to do a bit of caddying at Northenden golf club when we were kids to try and get a bit of pocket money.

The vast majority would just fuck us right off but there was a couple who would let us push their trolley round and give us a fiver at the end.

They knew we were City fans and one of them would say… You know he used to play for City? Thought he was taking the piss but he was a gentleman and would give us a good tip and tell us next time he was playing.

Found out years later that it was Lee’s dad.

Seemed like a really nice bloke. Not many people would have any time for a couple of Wythenshawe scallies trying to blag a few quid.

I’ve known Roy for 30 years plus, not much recently as we’ve both stopped playing golf etc. He was a decent, generous bloke and thoughts are with his wife, Doreen, his sons Gary and Lee and their respective families. RIP Dicko.
