Anyone who thinks this statement about watering down low carbon initiatives is anything but electioneering is deluding themselves. Same with the anticipated cancellation of the second phase of HS2. All governments indulge in populist shite but the current government are taking it to another level in their desperation to secure a few votes by painting the opposition as idealistic lefties.
