Rishi Sunak

I’m just back from a week in Majorca.

No delays or queues at airport and not one single person mentioned Brexit or is being the sick man of Europe all week, not one.

Everyone be them German, Dutch, Polish and even Spanish all friendly and got on great.
You’re on holiday, what do you expect.

On a similar note, I had a quick break there in July and it was lush. Again, no queues, just people content for us to spend our hard earned and have a good time ;-)

You enjoy his stories I see?

Easy to please lol

How about coming up with a counter argument?

It would make a nice change from your usual puerile posts.

Have you been to Spain recently? What did you think of it in comparison to the UK?

I see you have your holiday experience to draw on. Well done.

I also have extensive contacts all over Europe and they think we have lost our minds. But like you when on holiday in Spain nothing is mentioned. I do however notice the lower prices, better roads, better public transport and more visible policing.

I'm fed up with hearing nothing that has happened over the last 13 years is the fault of this dreadful government.
Actually, the only unifying thing about the Tory conference was saying how bad all the previous Tory governments had been.

I genuinely find this quite amusing. Here we are in 2023, and you are banging on about mainfesto plans from 2010.

I'm happpy to accept you are party activist, and your answers are what I would expect.

It might surprise you that I'm not a Labour supporter. I have voted Lib Dems for most of my life, but I am, like most of the country, pissed off to the back teeth with this tory government.

The Lies and deceit, the failure to answer any questions and the constant takling over questions from interviewers is failing. That's the best way I can describe it.

I'm fed up with hearing nothing that has happened over the last 13 years is the fault of this dreadful government.

You quote the OBR. Yes, a fine institution which Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng ignored with their disaterous budget. I'll tell you one thing about that budget. It's the only time in my life my pension pot declined, a direct result of 'a 'true tory budget' as the Daily Mail described it. When my pension fund should have been increasing by thousands, as it had in previous years, it lost value. What an achievement that was. An uncosted pile of crap that cost the country billions, and she is trying to make a comeback.

Boris Johnson said 'Fuck Business' and scrawled 'Bollocks' on the report about the impact of covid on the country.

Well, it would seem 'business' has heard that message, and they are engaging in record numbers at the Labour party conference in Liverpool. Have you noticed they are filling out the huge hall over there in contrast to half empty side halls in Manchester during the tory party conference?

Quote whatever you want from the past, but it's wasted on me. I'm sick and tired of where this country is at and where it is heading, Tories are so thick these days they want us out of the Council of Europe to penalise asylum seekers, without any understanding it is our membership of the United Nations that defines their rights. It's an insane policy that will result in the UK population having less protection than the people coming here, but Suella Braveman, in front of a tiny audience, had her day in front of the hard of thinking.

And what the fuck was Penny Mourdount going on about with her 'fight, fight, fight for freedom' nonesense?

Boris Johnson told the EU they could keep our £6.9B profit from our membership of the European Investment Bank.

What a good bloke, giving away nearly £7B when Jacob Rees Mogg was teling us food banks were a good thing.

Yeah, quote whatever statistics you want. I remember the shit the tories wreaked on the north in the early 80's, and this time they are taking the whole country down.

I've always despised the tories and nothing you can say to me will change my mind. You'll just have to accept I think they are twats of the highest order.
A really strange comment, it has to be said. Odd.

The reason why I posted what I did about Labour’s fiscal plans around the 2010 election is because you asked an explicit question about it and wanted an answer on that very subject. You demanded to know where I got the information from so that - somewhat ironically - you could look at the data in a balanced way, or whatever phrase you used.

Previously you called my views on the matter ‘deranged’ - Trump uses that word a lot by the way - and so I gave you the information you wanted in a polite manner. Funnily enough, when you didn’t like the facts - presumably because they proved you wrong - you then accuse me of banging on about 2010 and quoting statistics. When you yourself wanted to know the statistics from, er, 2010. Really very odd.

A couple of other points before I get back to my business. I’m not a party activist, and I’m not a member of any political party. I have an opinion on things and 99% of what I post on here is in relation to the extreme views held by others and most commonly the abuse I receive for not sharing those views.

The other, very obvious point to make is if you’ve voted Liberal for most of your life, then it’s very likely - I think certain actually - that you helped put the coalition government in power back in (hate to mention it again) 2010. So rather than ranting and raving and deflecting, you really just need to get over yourself.

I was having a chat with my postman at weekend.

He’d just got back from a week in Spain. Said he enjoyed it but he was happy to be back home.

Why would they?
Most people are more interested in talking about football. How we’ve fucked up our own country is understandably of little concern to them.

Well seemingly, one poster and his family always have those sort of conversations, all of the time.

I agree with you, why would they?

Don’t you think that chatting with family and friends is different to talking to a local barman, waiter or taxi driver in a holiday resort?

Mate we are going to go round in circles here….

If you want to believe his stories, knock yourself out, it’s a free country.
