The Tories thought they had made the sensible choice but after Truss that was a hard choice to make - a door handle or a frying pan probably looked a better choice anyway.

However - Johnson was lazy and was happy to cream a few mill off the top for next to no effort and just bluff his way out of any awkward questions about it.

Sunak is doing it on an industrial scale £billions - and in plain sight but has no talent to bluff his way out of it - he has angered most of the public - those who are die hard ultras who are still not offended will be when leaves the Party decimated and jets off to the States or India post election within days of resigning.

I’ve lost all touch with UK politics, concentrating on Trump.
