I can only come to some conclusions why he hasn't called an election yet:

1. Trade deal with Modi to screw us over that enriches him and his family.

2.Charlie has 6 months to live and him croaking will seriously disrupt a GE.

3. He's resigning both PM and his seat after the local elections. Dragging it out further whilst they look for the biggest **** to take over.

He is dishing out honours tonight - clearing the decks so 3rd of May he can just cut and run - he never cared and my guess is will be living in the US or India by June.

This corrupt decisonto reward his pal for being a donor is the final straw surely. It is a brazen decision which shows total contempt for the public. It is obvious that Sunak doesn't care one iota about his position as PM and will soon be off into the sunset.

Why not just say that the government which lead was elected with a 5 year mandate and you still have finished business to carry out before going to the polls. It's not that arguable considering Sunak was never elected but it's a whole lot better than the nonsense he just spouted.

Or is Roland Rat going to legislate new facts and proclaim himself the universal voice of the people?
