Riyad Mahrez

What makes you think Leon Bailey is available for the same price? He's probably the most coveted youngster in europe right now. Leverkusen are second and his stock is only going to increase between now and the summer. They won't sell him now when they can wait for a bidding war in Summer. Real Madrid are due a massive rebuild and players are going to move for stupid money. He's been the standout player in Germany this season and he will move for Mbappe and Dembele type money. Potentially double the prices being quoted for Mahrez.
Because he is only 20 years old, and has only played half a good season. 60m is a lot, and they could probably find several good players for that price

Apparently Leicester have said they won’t sell ‘at that price’, suggests this could happen ...

Sterling played almost exclusively as a left winger until Pep arrived, and Sané got 90% of his Schalke games on the right. He likes his wingers on their traditional flank, no reason to suggest he won't do the same with Mahrez if he wants width, pace and deliveries out wide.
Sterling was never established as a left winger though, he was playing across the front 3 and CAM his whole career because nobody ever found his best position. Mahrez is similar to Messi, a left footed winger who likes to come in and can also play CAM. It doesn't matter what Pep wants from Mahrez, he's not the pacy classical winger Sane can play for us, he's more similar to Bernardo than Sane, and we don't need another playmaker.

Would rather Zinchenko, Diaz, Nmecha, heck even Danilo could play LW or we go 3-5-2 with Laporte. If we want a Leicester play, Gray is better value for money as a LW.

In my opinion he is not half the player on the left side. It forces him to use his weak foot, which is not very good. Diaz or Bernardo would be a better choice
Hes left footed I think, same as Sane. Dont remember for sure but before he came to us think Sane played on the right, and before Pep Sterling played more on the left.

I agree that those things ought to be factors, but they didn't prevent Mbappe or Dembbele moving for similarly huge sums. When Leon Bailey moves it will be for a lot more than Mahrez does.

Think we only ever make three bids, low, correct price then a little over the top to get it done. We will make one last take it or leave it deal. The fact the player is so desperate to get it done, will give both sides reason to make it happen.

Difference is he actually can play with right as well.

Has pace as well which is crucial in our set up.

Keep hearing give Brahim a chance but he’s not ready. It’s clear. He has potential but let’s face it he doesn’t have the experience to come in and play a CL quarter final, cup final or against Chelsea and cause havoc, nice to think about but not going to happen. Mahrez on the other hand is a different story.
