Great piece Steve, I still have The Panik single.
He pissed a lot of people off in Manchester with that book, the idiot. Was it really worth telling everybody's deepest and darkest secrets for the sake of a few pennies?I read that book and although he can spin a good yarn and tells a good story he does come across as very arrogant and it’s everyone’s else fault rather than mine.
He did do a job on a few people and even got close to the mark with a remark about Gillian which I though was out of line.
In mitigation you could argue he's Manc though and through and pissing people off is what we do best. As is a certain degree of arrogance and being self-righteous.He pissed a lot of people off in Manchester with that book, the idiot. It's no defence for revealing intimate details and darkest moments of the drug habits of a dead person in my opinion. Actually, it was two dead people. I don't think either of their families would have been too impressed with that given their early deaths. In mitigation you could argue he's Manc though and through and pissing people off is what we do best. Know Pete reasonably well, so I'm biased I suppose.
