Hope City do better than Bob has today. Zenit went down 2-1 at home to Krasnodar this afternoon, conceding the winner on 88 minutes. They drop to fifth in the table.

Was anyone in Mary d's abt an hour or so before the game. A bit of a Mancini lookalike was held aloft and everyone singing Mancini's name. Quite funny actually.

Woman who sits next to me in the ground said some headcase was letting pure blue flairs off in there.

Flares were being let off in the back room and the outside area.

Rumours he might be getting the Italy job. (not the Mary D's guy)

He'll take that like a shot if he's offered it. Would be quite a good solution all round, I suspect, because after a fantastic start, his last few months at Zenit seem to have have been a bit underwhelming for both parties.

Zenit have beaten lowly Anzhi 1-0 at home today, but wins for Krasnodar and Lokomotiv mean they gain no ground on those two teams. Spartak and CSKA don't play until tomorrow.
