Roberto Mancini

Funny how Wayne hasnt put his tactical knowledge to use by becoming a manager. His time at City is prob best remembered for not shaking Terry's hand, cant recall anything else of note.
Bottling tackling that spurs player allowing him to cross and Crouch score so we didn't make the CL. Fucking hate the guy.

Mad how people prefer to defend Mancini, a man known to fall out with everybody, even Balotelli who he let get away with murder over Bridge. Yeah Bridge is a bit of a wet lettuce but he never comes across a ****, no one speaks badly of him and always seems genuine and likeable. Can imagine what he’s saying is true and if you wasn’t in Mancinis good books you’d be hung out to dry.
Good wumming

Average player bridge got dropped by mancini as bridge was shite.

He couldn't defend to save his life and guess who wasted money on him bringing him in? Yep, sour faced rag Hughesless!

Ex player has a pop at ex manager? Well knock me down with a feather.
He was a good signing at the time. Represented where we were. I’ve seen him being interviewed on a golf course though with Sky. He absolutely hammers Bobby and Balotelli. I can understand it, but why go public? He looks like a bitch doing well this.

Must have missed that game - he was absolute gash...........

Stretching the point a bit.

How did they do in the Europa League?
International teams do not play in the Europa League..

I do honestly believe that the standard of international football is probably at an all time low. That was more my point as it is in my opinion no longer the pinnacle of the game. Burley may have been a stretch, but I would expect any of the last 16 in the CL to win the Euro's.

I would certainly expect City to beat any of the international teams from across the world.

I don’t hate him, but I don’t get the love for him, either.

He was the kit man; not exactly a high-profile job within the club.
Come on Vienna, Chappie was the main reason the players were in a position to win the title on 2012 in spite of the shite manager that no-one likes.

When is the Chappie statue going up I say?

Yeah I don't love (or hate) him either, it's just I've seen a lot of comments over the pages building up to my post, so I was wondering if I was missing something by not thinking he was the devil or something.

The standard of club football has really accelerated away from international football over the last decade. Tactics are too evolved, and as you said in an earlier post there's just no time to replicate it at international level.

International football is full of managers whose best traits are more in line with man management than tactics. There's a reason why none of the best managers manage countries, Luis Enrique aside. Although Mancini is a very very good manager, his stock was at its lowest ever when he took the Italy job.

I don't want to take away from Mancini. Italy were comfortably the best team at the Euros and he played a huge role in that. But the competition he had was dire, which is a reflection on international football more than anything.
