I aint no Barry Norman but went to see it yesterday and i was a tad dissapointed. You have to forget about any other Robin Hood film. And yes he does have an Irish accent. Mark Addy who plays Friar Tuck is quality though

I was going to ask about the accent, but you've answered that one. You need to get onto the knobs website and let him know that Robin Hood wasn't Irish. Expect a knock on the door though!

I enjoyed it.

Im there to be entertained by a movie, and some of the battle scenes and general cinematography was excellent. Dont care about the accent, but yeah, it drops into Irish at times.

Looking forward to the concluding two parts.

If the geezer doesn't want to be called "Robin Hood" and there's no Sheriff of Nottingham as such and there are other differences to the actual legend of Robin Hood, why bloody call it Robin Hood, if not to just make it more popular to the masses and therefore be making more money?

I`d love to take my father who was 74 yesterday for a meal and a movie as he is a good old movie buff but when i thought about it.

1. Who wants to sit in Frankie and Bennys and get treated like a **** with their understaffed employee policy,wait 30 mins to get served with their dirty plates rude staff and chef who looks like the one from the muppets.Then its off next door to Cineworld where you pay over the odds for everything, the toilets stink, the staff are rude and the people who are"watching the film" are actually chucking sweets at each other, talking, making noises, playing with their phone, and on the back row some 15 year old girl is getting fingered by 4 lads as someone films it, no thanks,

2. I decided it would be much better to go to Blockbuster and get a nice film to watch on his big TV with surround sound except all their discs look like someone has served their toddler breakfast on them.

3. My dad said he wanted a nice enjoyable experience, i said well lets just stay at yours then, cos there aren`t any out there.

4. Im going to take him to get a blu ray player, i mean what can go wrong with that ahem?????

i saw it over the weekend and i thougt it was great. best to go into it thinking of it as a prequel to a robin hood film. there is the odd cheesey moment and his accent switches from irish, scouse, yorkshire but i still thought it was good nevertheless.
