rvp is world class however i do not want us to sign him, would have to pay both a hefty fee and wages for a player who hasnt got many more years at the top, would much rather buy somebody like falcao or cavani who could play in our team for 5/6 years.
Do they want to sign for us? Just get RVP, him and Aguero with our midfield! RVP also has loads of champs league experience. No brainer, if he`s hear 4 years and we keep winning trophies, job done. PS. and Martinez.

Thats the problem mate, if we got 4 years out of rvp we would be very lucky, hes 29 already and with his injury record it would be imo better to go for somebody like falcao or cavani. Nobody knows mate but nobody knows if anyone wants to sign for us including rvp.

Totally agree. Though I'd be happy with RVP, Cavani is the man we really should be going for. He scored 3 against us and 1 against Chelsea (with 2 assists). With that record against two of the best premiership defences he would be a complete goal machine against the rest. Rumours are that Napoli will let him go for £35m and that Chelsea are talking to him about a £150k a week deal. I really hope that we are interested if those figures are correct.

The thing is, City do their business very quietly theses days and for signings over the last 2 seasons nobody really knew who we were targeting till it leaked from the other club.

Nasri ? Clichy ?

Nasri was only open because of the media. Clichy was a signing I personally didn't expect.

Fair enough. Seem to remember Bobby talking quite a lot to the media about his desire to sign Sami and the fact that he expected the deal to be done.

Not what I was thinking of but one of the few where I remember him talking about Sami

Think you may be right re : Clichy though

Boy oh boy are Gooners bitter.....

Mercenary
Past it
Going to United for History
Going to City for money

Worth listening to TalkShite just to hear the Savvern Jessie's whining

The way I see it....

He choose City to make history, not United who ARE history

On my way back from the dentist they weren't half having a wank on talkSPORT about the possibility of RvP and Rooney together. They acted like RvP was already a scum player.

lol think someone on here mentioned it before. What they'll do is claim he's going to united but he'll end up at city. Then they'll all say he's only gone for the money

-- Thu Jul 19, 2012 6:17 pm --

Just looking at this on an Arsenal forum

Personally I'd much rather he went to United. City are scum who deserve nothing, and along with Chelsea are a huge part of the reason we've struggled so much in recent seasons.

oh dear

So basically other teams enjoying success resulted in Arsenal being pushed down the table.

i pray on a daily basis for this deal not to happen , another waist of a 200k a week on a lucky player that had one great season

All good, just a half yearly check-up so they can extort £17.50 out of me for tapping my teeth with a scalpel for 5 minutes. ;)

Hmmm

hmmmm

ide rather have cavani if we must go for a striker , having RVP is the same as having dzeko , dzeko is a great player but the system we play in doesnt do him justice , whats the point of having RVP aswell ? atleast cavani is a moving type of player just like aguero , he will tire defenses and create space for other players , but just what would RVP do ? will he add somthing we dont have already ? look at the last tournament with netherland , if we dont feed him while hes in the box we're not getting goals from him , there is no point spending alot on him

If RVP goes to the Rags as Ferguson is reportedly saying then we are fucked. Will be lucky to finish third in the Premier League at this rate.

The most ironic user name on here. Grow a pair FFS !

You're not the first person to notice that Davs. I bet he's a fucking riot to spend a weekend with.
