Would much rather United spend £20m and £200k per week wages on RVP, a player they don't really need, than spend it on a left back and central midfielder.

Can say they don't really need him but RvP replacing Welbeck is like Tevez replacing Caicedo!

And who is to say he will be their last signing. We are in for a serious fight next season if they get RvP I reckon.

Why do we have to be favorites? If United sign RVP then so be it. Obviously I want them to be shit but they are not. They will beat most teams and only play us twice. Theg will be a force mo matter what. Our competitors will strengthen. We need to up our game. But we can sign everyone.

I'd be happy to get a top CB like Agger and a few upcoming players like Omar and Biton. Our squad is phenomenal already. Our season will come down to Mancini figuring out how to unlock tight defenses consistently. It'll not depend on RVP.

I hope RVP goes abroad. I song want him here for sure. He'd a c@nt.

I think we need Bletchley Park on the case

Excellent!.Made me laugh anyway.

LOL!!! My iphone spellchecker went a bit crazy on me.

The good news is that we have Tevez, Kun, Mario and Dzeko, who are all better players than the likes of Wellbeck etc. However, Rooney and RvP could prove to be a very potent pairing. I thought that RvP would make a useful upgrade on Dzeko but it is other areas of our squad that are most need of strengthening.

Think it could be under 20m if he goes there. With City it wouldnt be anywhere under 20m.

Were they not nailed on for Moura only to be scupppered last minute by PSG. I'm waiting for one of their dogshite bids to be rejected and have them blame it on Juve.

Still not arsed in the slightest, if we keep Tevez (as is seems) then i think we have the best two strikers in the country anyway..

let them buy the next injury prone old man.

Lots of different journos now saying he's flown out of Germany to complete his move to United.

Dan Taylor, one of the few I trust, said that City were aware RvP favoured United but hadn't totally given up as of two days ago. But two days have passed...

PS: Any chance he could fail his medical?

If he goes to United so be it, we will just have to do the same with him as we will with Hazard.......show them beyond any doubt that they made an error in judgement and the way to do that is to win the league again and with some luck a trophy too.

If he goes to the scum he will prove to be the coont he´s always been after the Ade situation
He´s due another injury and I would laugh my cock off if they spent a fortune on a crock

All these teams signing big money players is good for City. Just imagine if we retain the title this year without spending mega money, for anyone who then says "you bought the title" the simple reply "is shame the other teams couldnt do it as well as us" lol

Will be interesting to see how the media discuss this transfer window: "Chelsea , United and Arsenal all strengthen" "City make sure they keep top spot by spending silly money yet again!" The way other teams spending is classed as strengthening annoys me when every signing we make is silly money.

On the contrary, it's not good for us if any of those teams win the league thanks to those signings.

Well yes obviously but I still expect us to make some signings this summer which will strengthen us without costing big bucks. Even without any new players I think we have a really good chance of retaining the title regardless of the other teams new signings.

if he leaves, which i dont think he will.....I will be very interested to see the fee. If Arsenal gets over 20 million pound for 29 year old with his injury record, then you gotta assume thats a good deal as long as they can replace him
