3 reds where i work, have had at least 2-3 texts messages this week from united, offering them season tickets. They have not had season tickets before. This signing has to come off for them. for this reason alone, we should move heavan and earth to humiliate that club

Funny how the media got he has agreed to join the scum from baconfaces comments.They weren't listening to the same interview as me.My interpretation of his slurs were that they have put in a derisory offer and arsenal have not even bothered to respond while negotiations go on with a more professional club who don't blab to the media to sell season tickets.

My own opinion, but i don't think Arsenal will let utd have him for nothing..
They'll want as good a price as they want for him, and if other clubs offer more then they'll want United to match it so will play hardball with them.
However, I don't agree with the theory that some have that Arsenal would never sell a key player to United. There was a lot of bad blood between the clubs in the past, a lot of it pre-dating Wenger's time at Arsenal, but there seems to have been a thawing in relations between them of late. Wenger is far more critical of us nowadays but it still hasn't stopped them selling players to us.

Interesting to note the tone of today's reports on Van Persie. As per my post from last night, it seems Arsenal aren't going to sell to United full stop because United aren't going to offer a stupid amount of money. Either the player throws his toys out of the pram to force the move, or he goes quietly elsewhere, or he signs a one year extension and we do the whole dance again next summer.

I was told by someone Well In at utd that they had recently took a £100mill loan offset against future ticket sales & had budgeted £25 mill transfer fund for next 4 seasons.
How much have they spent this summer, If they spend it all this summer where will it leave them for future transfers.
They wanted the Moura kid but couldn't afford the fee or Agents(KIA) fee which was £3 mill before aug 1st & £9m after. They offered buttons as down payment & wanted Kia to accept £1.5m fee.
I honestly can't see them affording Van Persie.
This could actually all be bollocks tho & totally made up.
