Waiting for Axelrod to return...
I bought my two-year-old home and away kits. One with his name on, one with Robinho.

Despite all the speculation during last summer and even as late as December, Garry Cook in particular, various other official denials, stated Robinho was going nowhere.

It is besides the point, my little 'un has no concept of what is on the back of his black away shirt.

But can't help feeling wasted best part of 40-odd quid on a player who was our supposed poster boy, when cash is tighter than ever for everyone.

If Robbie doesn't come back, do you think it reasonable to be asking a discount of the club on next summer's shirt?

Cook was adamant!

No- that is ridiculous. You are the one that chose to get Robinho put on the shirt, and no matter what Cook or anyone else said, you were the one that had it put on the shirt. Noone made you choose Robinho on it, and I even think (Though not sure) that when buying personalised shirts there is a clear policy of no guarantees that the player will remain at the club/not change squad numbers etc.

Isn't he still a City player though?

What's the problem? He hasn't played well enough?

If that's the criteria for a claim, the club would be paying out every season!

I assume this is a bit of sarcasm rather than anything genuine... in that case... ho ho ho.

Yeah, should have got Benjani on it, instead.

My point being, City were at pains to insist otherwise. Would you demand a refund, if the club told you everything was hunkey dorey, yet we went out of business a week later?

There are a lot of people on here who continually make the point to ignore the media and listen to what officially comes out of City.

Well, on this occasion, that's what I did last year, the club made money off the back of Robbie's name, I certainly haven't.

I got Corluka on mine for last season after City denied the rumours he was leaving. A few weeks later he's gone. Deal with it

How come you didn't know Cook was talking BS with all your inside contacts?

Years ago when I started taking my lads to the match I bought them both a home shirt. My eldest idolised Walsh and pestered me to have his name on the back. He played 3 more games and the bas*ards sold him !!!.

Never ever again.
