Anyone used to watch this? Grew up as a kid watching it, and now they're showing repeats on Dave :D

I used to watch this before it got too big for its BBC roots. The trouble is most of the 'robots' were shit and all they did was chase each other round the arena until one fell in the pit or stopped working.

Razor was the only acception to this rule. A fantastic design and a brilliant bit of engineering.

Once the very high speed spinning disc design was perfected that was it game over for all others - good series.

Great Egg Race was better though - now who remembers Heinz Wolf and his contraptions....

The disc was blunted by Behmoth? which was a big boring trundling do fuck all type of machine controlled by 3 fat kids who had no other friends. Instantly dislikable.

Oh...the Great Egg Race. Now that was a programme, and one i failed to understand due to it being on at the exact time that i was drunk.

Great stuff. I loved hypnodisc, he was top dog and used to absolutely demolish the opposition. Can't believe it's getting repeats on Dave - I'll be tuning in.

Oh yeah forgot all about Robot Wars I'll well be tuning in. Loved Razer it must have cost a fortune to make.

Can someone put a clip of The Simpsons Robot Wars episode on (i haven't got a clue how too) one of the funniest Simpsons ever.

Many would agree with that. Remember it use to just destroy other robots, kids who have helped build them too with their father just either sobbing their eyes out or laughing at it getting ripped to pieces. And yeah, its back on Dave too.
