Agree. He was mostly on his own in midfield. Pep was mad with the front runners for not giving him a forward outlet in the incident and of course once he lost the ball other mistakes happened before the ball went in the net.

Play another midfielder alongside him then, it was Pep's fault as much as Rodri.

Rodri made a bad mistake (if it wasn't a foul against him), but he was the only proper midfielder in that formation. We played with 6 midfielders vs PSG and with only one vs Chelsea, in order to allow Aguero to leave on a high and beat Rooney's record.

If Pep deserves some criticisms, it is not that he played a lot of squad players, but that the formation made it extremely difficult for them to perform well and now all those players will be slated due to the strange formation and Sergio's miss.

He was exposed today but I don’t think he’s good enough. When ever he starts I worry. Hoping we replace him in the summer.

Thought he was really good until the mistake …and it was a bad one

He did alright but that mistake highlights his weakness, put him under pressure and he turns into a mess. Pep said as much when he gave the actual reason for Dinho starting vs PSG..."Composure".

He was our lone midfielder and did well for 93 minutes, under pressure. Ferna is well capable of losing a ball under pressure and stray passes. The final starting team on 29th will be based on the best 11 in the days before the game, I doubt either Rodri or Ferna will start as lone midfielders.

It's a miracle we've done so well with him playing so many games! Pep really is a genius.

I agree that Peps line up was a disaster in the making and players should have shown for the pass but he has to do better with that situation.

Yes he had no options but his reluctance to just offload undid him. Not a bad trait by any means, especially in a pep team but it cost us today.
