Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Let's be honest - Arsenal went after injuring Rodri from the start. 3 fouls on him that all should have been yellow cards.
Even the coup-de'grass was a low level foul (never given as a pen) with the defender matching his knee to the shape of Rodri's knee along with a gentle push.
According to a physio friend of mine this can often result in an ACL injury if the recipient was going to move in a different direction to that which the gentle push propels them. The twisting moment injected into the knee is huge.

Well just read we won't get more than 80 points without Rods in the team which clearly wouldn't be enough to win the league. But let's see, it is very much Arsenal's to lose now and that might suit us. Good news hopefully in January and an inspired purchase or 2 might turn the tide mid-season. An announcement that Pep is staying an extra few years would also be a nice boost. It would be a monumental achievement to win the league this season if Rodri is out for 6 months plus but don't rule us out yet.
What are you talking about Arsenals to lose?? We've played 5 games from a 38 game season! At this point it could be anyones league. We are reiging champions, not prepared to roll over and call it Arsenals in September! Not sure where all the negativity is coming from!! We've lost a player for an extended period of time, remember what happened when Kev was injured first game last season? Other players step up because that is our mentality!!

Off the top of my head, the return game was QPR at home when he played about half hour, then Middlesborough away midweek when he got injured again. And I don't think it was weeks later, more like a season or so later(I think) I maybe wrong because it was 33/4 odd years ago. I do remember him playing in a few friendlies pre season and all looked rosie..how wrong were we.
Im referring to the original injury there was definitely a short time between the injury and the first comeback Post the operation he had problems after every game with swelling
If I get time Ill check in his book

I can't remember that pal, I can only recall the games a good while later. But times a thief as they say, especially to the memory.

Who's the lad who replaced Rodri at half time in the euros final? Sure he knocked back the Mickey mousers...

If we're in for somebody to try, repeat try, and replace Rodri I'm sure he'd be well up the shopping list. Or work with what we have, who knows.

Let's hope his injury isn't as bad as feared. An exceptional player, the best in the world. Get well soon Rodri.

I think it was Zubimendi cracking little player. The scoucers we're trying to get him this summer but failed. We should go for him in January.
