Fee agreed , should be completed next week this transfer
There is a buyout clause ? Unless otamendi is going the other way

No he has a buy out clause like eric didSo it's not a buy out clause fee then if it's an agreed fee
I know it used to be the case, not sure if it still is, that for tax reasons it’s better and cheaper for us to agree to buy from the club rather than the player triggering his release clause. So if that’s still the case an agreement with Atletico would be preferable. Possible too it may involve a player I suppose, maybe Otamendi ?So it's not a buy out clause fee then if it's an agreed fee
If it's an agreed fee then it carnt be a buy out one then surely??No he has a buy out clause like eric did
I'd take the fee info with a pinch of salt at the momentIf it's an agreed fee then it carnt be a buy out one then surely??
Yep I am that's why I question it as surely city would just pay the buyout fee like laporteI'd take the fee info with a pinch of salt at the moment
Why? Its either agreed or we’re paying the buyout, makes no difference.I'd take the fee info with a pinch of salt at the moment
We'll get him either way i'm sureWhy? Its either agreed or we’re paying the buyout, makes no difference.
Good if trueThere is a buyout clause ? Unless otamendi is going the other way
Think there is a good chance he’s right, so neither you nor anyone else knows if he heard something or didn’t. Does it matter ?“Member since: Thursday”
Have you not got anything better to do you WUM?
Yes swaps rarely happen also i can't see why we would weaken our defence when we have already lost vinnyThere’s nothing here to suggest that Atletico will budge on a release clause... they don’t want to sell so they’ll undoubtedly make us take the only route open to us and make us trigger the release clause. Even if - and I don’t think it’s the case - Otamendi was going the other way - that would be a completely separate transaction.

They wont but if they are interested in Otamendi or just a good relationship they might agree to just sell rather than the rigmarole of going through the player and forcing him to pay his release himself. Especially if it avoids any added costs, if it does. There’s nothing here to suggest that Atletico will budge on a release clause... they don’t want to sell so they’ll undoubtedly make us take the only route open to us and make us trigger the release clause. Well it’s 50/50 I’ve bet on worse odds ;-)Why is there a good chance he is right?

Seems to be a few stories that Atletico are getting close to agreeing a deal for his replacement, he said he’d decide last week. We don't seem to be looking at alternatives. It all seems to be lining up for next week. Tolmie reckoned one would be done next week. Just my best guess though I know nothing. Why is there a good chance he is right?
