I'm disappointed that we didn't even seem to consider Lukaku. Great striker.
I'm actually a big fan but at the price discussed he's not worth it. For £20-30m more we'll get a much more complete striker in Kane.

But if Kane falls through and we miss out on Romelu, that's a problem. Chelsea are moving hard.

Completely agree. Lukaku is a big, burly striker, very good at making a nuisance of himself. Kane is a distinctly better all round footballer, in my view. I don't think people quite realise how Kane can function when he's got people like Foden, De Bruyne, Gundo and Fern (and possibly Bernardo and/or Grealish) feeding him.

My post stands for anyone else though who's upset we don't have Lukaku on retainer.
Inter would be crazy NOT to take that deal.
Edit: Wait 12m net? Isn't that like 450k gross a week or something based on taxes. I imagine that more than doubles his current wage at Inter.

If all the noises are to be believed about Lukaku then Haaland certainly wont be moving to the bridge any time soon.
