Another goal & assist last night. 2nd top goalscorer, joint-1st assister. Only concern would be the amount of football, he's been playing since he was 16. Would he end up like Rooney or Sanchez?

Think we need to let this argument go as a forum.

Each individual is different. Look at Messi and Ronaldo. They’ve been doing it for 15 years + as first teamers and they’re both built very differently.

One's the greatest footballer ever and one takes better care of his body more than any athlete I've ever seen. They're the exception to the rule.

It was only 2 years ago Lukaku was a fat lump. Obviously he was mishandled at United and has a great record of scoring goals, but he's played a lot of football for a 27-year-old. A big part of his game is his physicality. It's natural to ask questions.

Maybe, but Lukaku’s injury record is good and he’s made lifestyle changes and put in the hard work evidently to be in the best shape of his career.

An undiagnosed issue with his gut and digestion were the reason for his weight gain.

It’s not something you can predict based on when they started their professional careers. Some go on to play from 16 through to mid-30s no problem, some are plagued by injuries or lack of motivation.

Using a smoking, drinking, granny shagging as an example doesn’t hold water, and neither does Sanchez really who’s cracking on to 33 with 800 games under his belt. He’s had a few injury set backs recently but he’s played 30 matches already this season and has only dipped below 30 games played in one season.

If a player plays 800 games and is done by 32, what’s the difference between that and someone who plays 800 games over a longer period? Their peaks will have been and past.

Guess so. I think he'd be good for us, just something to consider.
