Romeo Lavia

A bit more than that, he could easily have walked, no intent but still a nasty one.
What did you see?

He stood on the ball and the ball being round he sort of bounced off like on a wobble board and into the player, there was absolutely zero attempt to kick the player as he wasn't even trying to tackle the player, to begin with.

As said no intent, but it still resulted in a challenge that a lot of refs would have seen as a red.

As soon as a foot is raised even if unintentional it's classes as a serious foul

Oh come ffs, it wasn't a challenge, the ref was an utter arse for even booking him in the first place.

Let's got hypothetical, you're running along and your studs catch in your laces and you end up tripping and going head first into a player, is that a head butt?

ps I know they probably don't have laced boots now lol

It could easily have been red, it was an accident but still a nasty challenge.

As others have said he, he did not let the yellow card unsettle him, always a good sign of maturity and intelligence.

It's amazing people who watch so much football don't know the basic rules, intent is completely irrelevant if the play is dangerous.

From the FA:

PLAYING IN A DANGEROUS MANNER

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.

So no you cannot slip and kick someone in the face and get away with it because it was an accident.

Was impressed with his performance against Wycombe, first time I have seen him play but obviously seen all the hype. Whilst impressed I also thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch as he could easily have been given a straight red or two yellows. Needs to continue to learn from the master.

The fact that he stood on the ball is utterly irrelevant, he went over the top of the ball.
