I’m sure fans attending games in the fifties will remember Ron. My thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.

Dementia causing the death of another old professional footballer.
I wonder if this is another death linked to heading the ball, particularly the old heavy leather balls used back
in the 1950s?

I saw him a number of times in my earliest years as a Blue and even though he was more of a squad player than a regular I remember him well with his red hair.

Aged 91. Born and died in Stretford. He was more of a reserve player so he didn't play often as Roy Paul was the regular left half.
