Rondeaux Poems...

? Elaborate?

On rondeaux?? A poem form that consists of 15 lines. 5 first stanza, 4 second stanza, 6 third stanza. Must start with four syllables and those same syllables must be used in the last part of the second and third stanza.
The last word of the first line must rhyme with the end of the second line. The third line must rhyme with the fourth and the fifth end with the starting syllables in the first line!

You still with me...? Okay...

*deep breathe...*

The second stanza's last line must rhyme with the first stanza's last word and the same with the second line. The third line in the second stanza must rhyme with the third line of the first stanza and the end of that stanza must ned with the opening four syllables of the opening stanza.

*puff wheeze pant!* Okay, last bit...

The final stanza follows the same pattern of the first four lines of the first stanza. The last line is like the fifth line of the first stanza but you must tack on the opening four syllables of the opening first line!!

*whew!*

I've done one, but want to know if it's any good by viewing favourites off here, as the net throws up many different versions of what I'm looking for!

Well, here's mine anyway. It needs a title(hate obvious ones!). Would normally have one, but I'm struggling through tiredness! Going hospital, so will leave it you. Will consider any, if any suggestions come.

If not, I'll just have to think of one... eventually! C'est la Vie!

Those halcyon days he played his part
Amongst tattooed sleeves of well-worn Heart,
Those voices lost in tribal screams,
Invested hopes and carried Dreams,
From lofty highs, cerulean seas of art.

That resplendent age of days depart,
Where he was ‘we’, not young upstart,
“You’re one of us!” oh how it seems,
Back in those halcyon days.

In mirrors, skin of truth impart,
Those days of yore and legion thwart,
To this deception craving reams,
His stygian hull fear in stranger gleams,
And heavy heart weighs down his cart amongst
Those halcyon days.
