Just when I thought I was out...they pulled me bac
An awesome near-perfect day but I'm sorry I just can't shake this.

Nasty's booking was an absolute joke but to then see Rooney commit assault after assault and receive nothing but one chummy warning after another from Webb made me pig-sick.

A Serbian gets a yellow for a genuine attempt at the ball. An English 'superstar' gets the friendly treatment despite several misdemeanours each warranting a booking, one of which was a blatant shove in Vinnie's face. What a fucking shock.

It got worse with Webb then being willfully distracted on more than one occasion to indulge Weetabix-hair and put up with his moaning.

You'd think after the furore over Halsey's comments last week Webb would be extra-vigilant in not showing favouritism towards the big-name domestic players but it's so ingrained - this bending of the rules - that he carries on regardless.

You know what really pisses me off? If Rooney had spawned one off his shin again to get them in front the only outrage would be on here with the media completely ignoring all that preceded it. It's just so fucked up.

There is so much money in the game now and so much at stake. This favouring of certain players must stop and stop now!

Thought Webb was ok today - pissed off the rags no end judging by the amount of arm waving and whining

It didn't have a impact on the game though

I thought he was a bit biased towards Utd.

Also have to say that I was well impressed with Rooney today. He alone amongst the rags can hold his head up high.

Webb did not give us much but we were just too good for any dodgy refereeing to matter. I think not booking Rooney early on might have worked in our favour. He actually seemed to play better when he could not indulge in stupid fouling and niggling.

He did seem to be shocked to be booked didn't he?

Manyoo seem still to be benefitting from refereeing decisions but that is not going to help them this season.

Was in his face for large parts of the game - fuckin joke the leniency afforded to that banjo strumming fuck.

At least he didn't get sent off - so he's available to play in their massive local derby in the capital one cup!

Look, a lot of our fans wont like this, but Howard Webb is NOT pro United.

What he is, or rather what he does, is suck up to the biggest names on the pitch in any game.

He always does this. If it's us v Norwich, Chelsea v Wigan or Rags v Bolton, he'll do it time and time again. He is in no way suitable to be an official at this level, as he's a complete fanboy.

Want evidence?Us v Spurs 2 years ago. Favoured us the whole game and carded Spuds left right and centre.

If it's Barca v Rags, he'll lick Barca's hole. It's shocking.

It's also entirely obvious when it comes to England internationals.

Thought Rooney and Webb linked up well in the early stages but faded as the match went on.
