Rosetta Stone French

Hi mate as an alternative to Rosetta Stone there's another program by M Thomas, if you have a look into it and fancy it I can point you in the right direction. I found it very easy to follow although I've not really given it much time tbh (only did disk one) there are 5 discks I think but I'm sure it'll fit on a dvd.
PM me if you want any more info.

I have the German one, got through the first section but haven't had time to finish the rest.

A lot of it has stuck in my head, so it must work to some extent.

If you don't want to do the college course, and are going to spend on software then this companies software is far far better than the Rosetta Stone.

The Michael Thomas stuff is ok if you want to learn a foreign language with a Polish accent!

For those who want to learn Spanish a good course to start with is Synergy Spanish, teaches you the basic conversation stuff.....I want.....I need.....then adds verbs.....to drink....to eat.....which is great as a starting point and you make fast progress. The website selling the course leaves a lot to be desired but it is a good starting point.

Good luck with your learning!

Rocket languages are supposed to be very good as well

The BBC also does language lessons and there are loads of free websites to teach you as well. Like I said before you can practice your speaking using skype, there are websites which put people in touch with each other, they want English and you want their language.

I got one recently called "Tell me More" - Italain.

the new version was over £300, but I got a previous version for less than £50.

I had an ok knowlege of Grammer and my vocab wasn't bad, but I think its brilliant and so interactive which keeps the motivation. Feel like I'm really improving.

So maybe another one to try?
