Very excited to see some players over the next month with 3-4 cup games against lower league opposition coming up. Muric and Foden should star all four but other spots are up for grabs. For this one I'd go:

Please, no Díaz anywhere near this team, or any City team ever again. He's made his position clear so why waste a spot on him?

I'd like to see Nmecha, Sandler and co. on the bench. Would be mad not to reward García with a start. That team should be enough, fingers crossed.

Foden has a chance to get a goal and couple of assists and make this January the best month of his career to date.

The last time I saw City v Rotherham it was over Christmas sometime in the 60s. I think Matt Gray might have been playing. It ended 6-1, and was squashed between an 8 and a 4 both v Scunny! I shall check see if the dementia got a bit of a kick start after last night!
