Rubbish Bluemoon.

Does anyone else think the version of Bluemoon we play before the games now is rubbish? Just destroys any atmosphere leading up to kick off.

We should play the slow version we had when we first moved into Eastlands.... easier for the crowd to join in and make an atmosphere.

Agree but there isnt a good version of bluemoon that is the same speed as we sing it.

They should play hey jude instead imo and just leave bluemoon to the fans.

Meh... the speed of it does set tone though and makes us sing quicker, rushing out song after song.

I think no music at all would be better.
Just for that short period after Right here Right now plays.... let us fans build up the atmosphere, we'll sing Bluemoon anyway ourselves...

The Ella Fitzgerald version should be played for the last 2-3 minutes before the team come out.

All 4 verses as such and the words, for those who don't know the unsung verses, should be put on the screens.

With the soon to launch City circle, we need to get a proper grip of this song and turn the Fitzgerald version into our anthem!

Believe me, if this was sung properly by the whole ground then, it would put Liverpool's walk alone to shame.

I agree with Hey Jude, much more upbeat. Bluemoon is a bit rubbish in any case.

Have to say the fast version is pretty poor - but so is the rubbish we are forcefed on the big screens prior to kick off.
It's juvenile and patronising.

It's not just Bluemoon that's too fast, every song we sing of late seems to be a race to get to the end ? By the time Balotelli left, his song had actually become like a tongue twister when aired and sounded bloody awful as everyone raced to the end in rounds.
