Benfica need to sell, they've spent €80m in summer already for a club with not so good of a budget despite money from Joao Felix, and so to balance the squad and books they need to offload someone, and Dias is the best candidate to guarantee them most money off a sale. Also stemmed largely from their bad campaign and failure to get past PAOK in CL qualifier, which has resulted in big losses for the club (add COVID factor, so it's obvious they are in need of cash).
