Rugby League Grand Final 2025

Why on earth do they still hold it there? Is it some 25 year deal that Super League are locked in to? Surely our stadium would be a better bet, esp now, and 60K capacity would be fine. I thought RL had their corporate HQ on our campus anyway (?).

Maybe being moved because of the off pitch camber is a risk to players.

I wonder if the Eng/Aus test at Everton was being used to see if it could be moved there?

Yeah, I’ve got tickets myself for that Everton hosted match.

Looking forward to the match and the occasion, though my Toffee pal says on the concourse it’s a nightmare - there are far too few bars and far too few gents toilets - so that’s not a good omen, esp for a RL game!

I don’t really know the ins and outs of rugby league rules, but imagine a premier league ref trying to deal with that. It would be a mixture of arrogance, chaos and stupidity. Always impressed with rugby and how the refs handle key situations.

Hard as fuk these boys …..no rolling around feigning injury

Im sure commentator just said the Stretford end erupts

Looks more like what was the scoreboard end to me where Hull fans are

Never seen Wigan play as bad, so many errors, more in one match than most of season and Hull KR typical Yorkshire wankers can’t win with grace, having a fight at every opportunity the fucking arseholes, and still at it

A long term contract expired last season and there was talk of it moving. But they eventually signed a new three ( two more now ) year deal to keep it there.

I doubt City would be interested to be honest. Ferguson hated it there and was always whinging about it fucking the pitch up.

Not seen a Wigan performance that sloppy at this time of the year for a long time. Borderline shambolic.

Hull KR clearly the best side this year though, so well done to them. I suppose it's good for the game to finally have a new name on the trophy after all these years.

Had KR at 6/4 so was glad but there were a lot of sliding doors.

The disallowed first try dropped a few inches before scoring for no reason, the spear tackle costing 10-0 and the knock on when the right winger was sure to score. Then when Wigan came back into it at 10-6, the missed regulation conversion seemed to set them back when it should have been game on.

The Robins aren't bobbins says me.
