Rugby union

Looks like the shit really has hit the fan!
Talk of the rest of the teams refusing to play them or reforming the league with them excluded.
Wray May even walk away leaving them screwed.

I was traveling at the time so only had radio commentary so for Ireland to win there for the first time is great. Next week will be a huge test. Both teams so far had 1 stinker each if both play to there best the final test should be a good 1 but you got to fanzy All Blacks if they keep all 15 on at home.
Didn’t see it, but it sounded like they lost their discipline out there. But then again, they have a reputation for pushing the laws of the game to the nth degree.

Ireland were excellent, but NZ were a mess for much of the first half. A couple of yellows - one for an early tackle which probably stopped a try - and a red for a clash of heads in a tackle. Could have had another red too. They then messed up the scrum sub so a prop could come on, and their great no. 8 was off for 55 minutes of the match!

Next week is going to be something.

Great wins for all three Nations downing the Southerners.

And Scotland too, getting something going at last.
It really was quite the day.

England made slightly hard work of finishing things having been far superior for over half the match.
Ireland were great for a first win in NZ.
Wales stuck at it against what was a second string, but a first win vs SA in SA is still the outcome. Scoring in the last few minutes and with the sub kicker putting the conversion over from the touchline. Not a great rugby match, but a day of tension.

In all the first three matches, the number of injuries being picked up is very noticeable, as it was last week.

Sorry I didn’t know about the Scotland result but that was a big turnaround for all after last week.
