Opening Ceremony about to start on ITV

Followed by New Zealand vs. Tonga

Is it too early to have a beer whilst watching it?

No it bloody isn't! Haha.

Excited.

Tomorrow has the potential to be very messy though, england in the morning, followed by a full day on the beer at city.

-- Fri Sep 09, 2011 10:22 am --

New Zealand looking very strong.

I thought New Zealand would get 70/80 points after the 1st half performance, 2nd half showed that they are human and beatable...

Bloody hell that first half was terrible from us we gave away way too many penalties and we were sloppy and looked out of sorts but the damage could have been a lot worse if Aregentina wouldn't have missed four penalties but I still think we will win it but it will be very tight

-- Sat Sep 10, 2011 10:58 am --

Wilkinson has now missed 6 penalties in a row
What the hell is he playing at

Awful display,we were very lucky to get the result.England lacked energy and invention, hopefully it was just down to nerves.Wilkinsons kicking was as bad as ive ever seen.

A wins a win though......

In my opinion we only won through Argentina's incompetence, and Wilkinson was shite today missing 6 penalties in a row, we really need to get ourselves sorted for the next game

Agree, good job the Argentina kicking was as bad as Wilkinson's
What got me though was in the 2nd half it was obvious Wilkinson was struggling with kicking so when we got a Pen why didnt they kick into touch near the goal line and let the pack do the rest? Thats what led to the try
Massive improvement needed

Union - for f*ck sake it's shite!

I can't understand why anyone would want to watch a game made up of CONSTANT knock ons, forward passes, penalties, five minute scrums, few tries and lots of goal kicking.
