Rumour : delayed north stand extension

I would have thought the decision would be taken when they see how far down the waiting list they get. Sure I've seen somewhere it's over 10000 now so if 5-6000 are left waiting I would have thought they would go ahead for it to be finished in another 2 years or people may give up waiting if they don't see an end to the wait.

update on the rumoured delay, my colleagues husband is site sector manager on the build and he has informed her that it is scheduled for completion in August 2015

He has said that there is no delay that he is aware about or heard

They've all paid a hundred quid in non refundable deposits to get on the list in the first place.

The rumour is the delay of the building of the north stand, not the south stand.

I thought they were refundable ?

The Club might want the 6k on the waiting list to be paying an average of £40 for match day tickets rather than £20 per game on season cards.

It could be different if the 6k include a thousand wanting Premia Seats and / or the Club are desperate to have a capacity of 60 plus thousand.

Not according to what I was told by one of the stadium tour guides.

The last 4 PL home games plus the home derby -

Aston Villa, 45,036
WHU, 45,041
WBA, 45,018
Leicester, 45,000
Rags, 45,358

Emptihad indeed...

The pics on here of the villa away end would make me question those figures, we have always got 45k this season no matter how big the gaps are in the away end, or how many empty seats are at the back of the third tiers.

Giving away tickets means the demand s not there at current prices.

Capacity has been reduced this season by 2000 due to the building work and expansion...!

Yes know, hence the 45k versus villa makes no sense after seeing the pictures of the away fans front on.

They are refundable. Can you imagine paying a £100 deposit and then being told you've either got to pay £1600 for premium seating or lose your £100 altogether?

Yes but if the y start now they have 2 seasons to build the list up again and when you add on match day ticket buyers not on then there will still be match day ticket buyers. I can't see them waiting 2 years to start as it will be 4 more years on the waiting list for many.
Also do they need to do the North stand before the collar developments ?
