anyone got any experience on doing it?
basiclaly theirs one near me that has just shit down..its a very popular bar as its the only one thats renound for playing indie music and is a big favourite...

they have facilities to let bands play and do gigs
they dont open midweek/early to open up for the footy
its got a nice outside area

im seriously trying to do some figures with it

the main one is obviously the license..how much does this cost? how much does thesky package for pubs cost? insurances needed?

does anyone have any idea at all?

thanks

rick

I haven't got any experiance in the industry but loads of pubs seem to be closing down these days and there must be a reason for it. So be careful but if you think you can make a sucsess of it then go for it!
Good luck.

Your from Stalybridge..So i guess you are talking about Viva?

I agree, it imo was one of the best places in Bridge..And on its night it would be packed. But also there was a lot of underage kids who went there and once they clamped down on that - a lot less people turned up. You would think that a unique place that plays decent music and sells cheap decent drinks would be popular. Obviously it shows that Stalybridge, Dukinfield etc... Is mainly full of chavs haha.

promoted bands for around 8 yrs before i got too old for it

you just need to get in touch with a few agents and offer gas food and lodging

main thing is find out why it shut
