Scared of dying and the nothingness which follows.
Religion is evil, contrived for the feeble.
I don't agree with the feeble bit. Most people on the planet would be exposed to some form of supernatural woo woo as children. In the days before the advances in science this was understandable. They simply didn't have answers that could question ancient texts.
We do now. So for me looking at this knowledge and facts, now make me ask why did god get it all wrong? Why do all ancient faiths have a creationist start?
Because up until Darwin came along evolution was not understood.
So, we have untold millions refusing to believe in evolution because their books say Adam was created out of dust and Eve from a rib.
Others realise evolution as a fact but add on that god did that too.
No matter what science does to prove the lack of a divine creator, religious people will just say god done it.
They aren't so keen or vocal if you say.
Ok, who created god then? God?
God creates himself first then has a wee look about. I can do better he thinks. I will create the earth. I will have light before I create the sun he can do anything. I will create all the animals but not mention the dinosaurs.
Somebody made all that up.
