Russia looked poor against England but still managed to walk away with a draw, although that says more about England than them. Smolnikov looked like he could be a threat from right back, lightning quick but leaves them vulnerable sometimes by being out of position when they turn the ball over. Dzyuba looked pretty decent in the air as well, crosses might be the way forward for Russia.

Goal scorers so far: V. Berezutski (1)

Slovakia were also pretty poor against Wales, they look poor at the back but did offer some threat going forward. Outside of Hamsik, former City youth player Robert Mak looked a pretty decent player, as did Duda who came of the bench to score a nice goal.

Goal scorers so far: Duda (1)

A draw will probably be the best result for England and Wales or a Slovakia win for England. Most people will be hoping Russia get beat so their fans can fuck off home. Prediction 1-1.

I think UEFA's policy is to drown out any booing of the anthems by turning the volume up so loud that no one can be heard over the din.

We should be looking at the Russian right back he looked quality against England.

He's lightning quick, agree with Jenas' analysis, he's the only player i've seen Sterling not be able to track back with. Haven't seen much on his technical ability so far though, 8 goals in 73 games for Zenit looks a decent record from right back as well.
