Russian invasion of Ukraine

Just watched a video on YouTube from March 12th, showing the absolute ineptitude of the russian air force.

8 Mig 29's, one after the other, all shot down by man launched SAM's in about 20 minutes, about 15 missiles fired in total, 1 aircraft hit twice broke up, they were using flare counter measures, some pilots ejected, some didn't, 1 chute didn't appear to deploy. The first 5 went in as single aircraft, 1 following the next from the same direction, numbers 6 and 7 as a pair, the 8th alone.

Staggeringly stupid to get close enough 8 times, and all get shot down.

I wouldn't worry, not that long since he was given a full state visit here and a coach ride up the mall to the palace with HRH.

This is a really appalling comment.

There is a difference, believe it or not, in welcoming Al-Assad in 2002 and welcoming him in 2022 after killing 350,000 combatants, 600,000 civilians, slaughtering 10,000 people in prison camps, committing over 100 Chlorine and Sarin gas attacks, and forcing 6 million refugees to flee the country.

Why would anyone feel the need to equate the two to defend the UAE and Mansour?

Isn't it the case that much of what is exported from the Netherlands (or re-exported to be more precise) is actually grown/produced elsewhere (particularly from Spain and Italy), though the country is certainly highly successful in terms of agri-food. Do agree that more UK farmland and indeed urban space could be devoted to growing food.
Just an idea.
Suppose the maximum number of residences anyone could own was 2, comprising one house and one flat.
This could free up land for growing food and possibly ease the homeless situation.
And no I haven't been on the wacky baccy or lunatic soup!
