Russian invasion of Ukraine

These guys are incredibly brave, no doubt about that, but who knows what one is capable of in such situations.

Imagine if those Russian troops were in Manchester.

Quite incredible, simply standing there unarmed and singing/shouting at fidgety russian troops who are pointing guns at them and they don't even flinch when live rounds are fired over their heads.

You also have to consider the Russian soldiers - probably conscripts told they were going on exercises in Belarus and then the night before told they are invading Ukraine. They are told they are fighting neo-Nazis and enemies of the state but many have friends and family who live in Ukraine. They get there and are confronted not with ne0-Nazi's but Russian speakers who are telling them to go home. They are confused and are facing their "enemy" who is unarmed from 3 feet away. They are not artillery lobbing shells and rockets from 50 miles away its there in their faces up close and personal. It can't be easy for them to understand they have spent a life getting the world via Russian state TV and suddenly nothing makes sense - they can't shoot people they "recognise" in cold blood to fire rounds over their heads hoping they disperse.

One things that is apparent after nearly a month of attempted invasion by Russia is that its military is pretty poor. They would probably really struggle to win a war against NATO even without the US. They appear disorganised, ill-equipped, poorly led and with a low moral.
They’d struggle to win a war against the U.K., never mind the other 27 countries in NATO. They’d last less than a week against NATO.

Not a huge surprise...

Renault suspends manufacturing in Russia after international backlash. The French automobile company announced the decision on March 23, adding that it is assessing its options regarding its stake in Russia’s partially state-owned AvtoVAZ car manufacturer.’ @KyivIndependent
The surprise is that they thought nobody would notice.

Just a thought. The majority of destruction has been caused by missiles rather than soldiers on the ground and when we have seen atrocities like firing on civilians/journalists in cars where the perpetrators were accurate as well as vicious.

Takes a lot to do such things and I do wonder if the Russian soldiers have that in them to do that, or it’s Putin’s Wagner Group who are doing their thing as part of the terrorist tactics?

What the fuck does "Poland and Estonia are jabbing Russia" mean?
It means they are wanting to become militarily heavily involved, way beyond what NATO as a whole wants. NATO wants to send defensive weapons and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and boosting defensive measures in its own member states. NATO has made it clear any attack on a member state will be big trouble, and if the Cold War experience is to go by, Russia will not strike the first blow at a member state of NATO. Non-members like Ukraine are a different story.

By contrast to the NATO consensus, Poland and Estonia have called for combat troops on the ground and warplanes in the skies. Estonia's parliament called for warplanes in the sky (the only way to enforce a No Fly Zone) and Poland wants a 'peace keeping' mission involving NATO combat soldiers shooting at Russia's armies. Links in blue.

This all vastly escalates the potential for NATO-Russia fatal clashes that trigger Article 4, and with it nuclear war and the end of humanity. Poland and Estonia are protected by NATO from attack, but if they go looking for trouble, we all get nuked as a result.

You really are a fucking clueless Putin micro cock sucking twunt, article 4 was triggered as soon as sovereign territory neighbouring nato states was invaded. You probably thought you were referencing article 5 but your too late ignorant to check facts. I would love to know how nato members talking triggers nuclear war as currently there’s only 2 counts on the planet that believe that and your one of them.
Have you read any of the nato Ukraine memorandums since 1994?

uwe was fucking great you’re a fucking ****!
