Behave yourself, not all the Russian soldiers want to be there. Probably never imagined they'd be fighting against soldiers they probably consider allies.

The whole invasion is a shite state of affairs. I'd suggest a lot of Russian soldiers are involved in a war they don't support.

On the rare occasions we talk about the "special military operation" she refuses to acknowledge that women and children are being killed by the Russians, she tells me that the Ukrainian forces have done it, the Russian soldiers are helping the local people by providing food and protection from Nazis. We don't mention the war now as it ends in a big argument.

The Ukrainian helicopter attack into Russia sounds like a bargaining tool. By launching a gutsy attack, they are sending the message they are no longer just defending they are willing to play offence too. With that in mind, they will probably use it as leverage in peace negotiations. Always good to stick one on your opponent before then offering him the chance to have peace.
