Not all Russian soldiers are cunts though…
Exactly, so many on here eager to be sympathetic to Russians, fuck off.

I admire her attachment to her native country, but you would have thought the scales should have dropped from her eyes over this shit show. She is 48 and has lived outside of Russia for 25 years
If you think it will all be over in a few days, you don't plan missile orders for a few months. Lots of knock on from a flawed premise. Same with basic supply like food and fuel. Bet old Putin is seething. Serve the bugger right.Russia is running out of cruise missile parts, helicopter parts and T-72 tank parts, because, wait for this, it's a cracker, they are manufactured in Ukraine...
Vladimir Putin ‘running out’ of missiles – because parts are made in Ukraine
A substantial portion of fighter jet engines and tank components are made in Ukrainian factories, which no longer supply Russian forceswww.telegraph.co.uk
Bud Abbot and Lou Costello must be running the war in Russia
I think we in the West have little comprehension of how unquestioningly people in other cultures behave. Centuries of autocracy, totalitarianism, and patriarchy have created cultures where people simply do not question and blindly accept what they are fed. We shouldn’t expect the scales to drop anytime soon.I admire her attachment to her native country, but you would have thought the scales should have dropped from her eyes over this shit show.
Agree with that, but she left 25 years ago.I think we in the West have little comprehension of how unquestioningly people in other cultures behave. FTFY.Exactly, so many twats on here eager to be sympathetic to Russians, fuck off.
Irrespective. I tend to find that the education and culture in such countries means attitudes become fossilised and almost impossible to change, no matter what evidence you lay before them. Imagine if the roles were reversed and we moved to live in such cultures, do you think we would ever relinquish our questioning spirit?Agree with that, but she left 25 years ago.
There's a whole Pandora's box of psychology in one sentence. If they don't support it then why are they committing war crimes?
The simple facts are that Russia invaded Ukraine not the other way round. When my wife and I were living in the UK, she and most of the other Russians we knew over there used to get pretty indignant at the way their country was portrayed in the media (this was the 2000s, until 2007). I used to tell them to look at how Russia behaved on the international stage and ask if, in the light of that, they were really surprised.
Your wife's view of the special military operation is very common over here at the moment. There's a distinct tendency not to want to believe they're the bad guys. Reminds me of that Mitchell and Webb sketch, actually.
Some might say that your wife should know better given that she has access to reporting that doesn't simply reflect the standard Russian line. I might have thought that once, as well. But when you look at how many people in the UK and US swallow all kinds of bullshit from dishonest politicians and news outlets who lie as a matter of routine, I no longer think so. It seems to be something that a large proportion of people are prone to, albeit that this is a fairly extreme example.
