I was just about to edit my post to say we are no better off actually with our current govt.
I think the US and UK are presently pretty bad adverts for freedom and democracy at present.

Boris doesn't hold a candle to the damage that Trump could do to world stability, not even in the same league.

Trump is more dangerous to us all than ever Putin is.

To compare the present Conservative government to the Republicans under Trump is pure naivety.

And what do you think would happen to the hundreds of Ukrainian POWs the Russians have, or the hundreds of thousands of people under control of Russian forces in Donbas and Luhansk when those stories got out?

What I meant by that was it is my personal opinion, not that I would do it. I’m not a soldier.

I think you’ve both misread word for world.

My original point was that our emphasis is on the ‘cost‘ of living, whereas Ukrainians now emphasise the cost of ‘living’.
