Wondering when all this is over if Russians will be daft enough to venture out to European resorts . Can see big trouble breaking out if they do .

If, god forbid, Russia managed to subdue Ukraine, they would have one hell of a job to govern it. The prospect of repressive barbarity will galvanize Ukrainians. They will never surrender.

As long as Putin is in power they will be about as much a part of the international community as North Korea but without their football team in the World Cup.

I hope you are right. But I believe a softer line will be taken due to gas reserves and geographic proximity even if Putin is still around.

It looks like war crimes have been committed by the Russians but I can't see many brought to justice. A few low level men and officers may be sacrificed but trials of the top bods will be scrapped in peace negotiations. Depressing but predictable.
As for Russia being treated as a pariah state: It might be for a short period but Germany and Japan took part in international sport less than 10 years after WW2, and their atrocities were far greater.

Japan and Germany were utterly beaten those responsible (in part) brought to justice complete regime change, this won't happen in Russia they'll be outcasts until that happens.Or should be.
