Russian invasion of Ukraine

Any nuclear war would obliterate life in the northern hemisphere. There are simulations on youtube that shows how foolish it would be

With any luck, Putin and the Russian Generals share this opinion.

It's been reported (I saw such reports prior to the invasion of Ukraine) that Russian generals think that deployment of short range nuclear weapons is a viable military strategy. They argue that the West will be too cowardly to respond in kind and that deployment of short-range nukes is an easy path to victory.

Mad yes, but the reason why we should NEVER get rid of our Nukes and HAVE STRONG conventional forces to stop our need to use them in the first place.
MAD ensures safety against a rational, stable adversary. Beats me if Russia under Putin is such an opponent.

20 rockets were fired at the village of Desna in Northern Ukraine.
All 20 were fired from Belarus.
This was Saturday afternoon.
