You honestly think Putin is going to stop at Ukraine, given his maniacal rant a few days ago where he was talking about the Russian Empire, how it was a mistake to let national republics leave the USSR?

I think he will stop there, although obviously he would love to have his old USSR back. The reason I think he'll stop is that he clearly felt an imperative to get hold of Ukraine before it became a NATO member. That suggests that even though he may seem mad etc, even he realises that pushing into a NATO member is a different ball game entirely.

I agree. It always amazes me how nations just allow one man to lead them down this path. Of course they're backed up by equally fanatic nut jobs but what do they do if the whole fucking army just says no? Fuck all that's what.
