Russian invasion of Ukraine

Is there a chance at all the russians will pick up arms and destabilise him from within?

With so many brave russians demonstrating in the streets, there must be some groups ready to rebel. He has been a tyrant for 20 years. Has he driven them all out or is there just not a climate for a civil war anymore?
It's Russia that needs "de-nazifying".
Fingers crossed.

Hopefully hundreds of Russian body bags returning to Moscow will be a catalyst for some of the protests in Russia.
I understand the sentiment but those bags are real lives lost. Nobody of relevance wins in this, just a narcissist and his backers who want control and money.

HMG need to do the right thing.

There was a report that he had mobile crematorium wagons so as to burn the dead which would hide the numbers being killed but I don’t know the authenticity of that report?

He's speaks that the German army isn't ready or prepared to face Russia in another nation and that certain weapons or equipment hasn't been signed off. The German Army disagree's with him. I don't know anything about German Military to know if he's wrong or right.

What he's saying is that they can't launch military assaults into other nations to help, don't think he mentions anything about them being unable to defend Germany.

He also doesn't mention anything about woke nor saying that they are more for peacekeeping.
Germany spends nowhere near the 2% minimum that NATO members are supposed to spend on defence and hasn't done any serious fighting since WWII. They hide behind offering a peace keeping 'service' whilst expecting top tier NATO members such at the U & UK to keep them safe.

There was a young Ukrainian lad on earlier who was queuing up to give blood (long queues of people trying to up the blood stocks) and then was off to defend his neighbourhood.

I said earlier that it's difficult for us to envisage.
30 years ago, Ukraine became independent. Anyone of any age can see the prospect of the end of the freedom from Russia, and at worst the end of Ukraine.
Those are strong motivation.

“But it seems that the Russians are a bit surprised that the Ukrainians have fought back. And fought back well.

The Russians are taking casualties, which it seems they weren’t expecting. The Russian ministry of health had just effectively mobilised civilian doctors in Russia. One assumes to deal with the level of casualties being sustained.”

The other thing is I don’t think the Russian army were told there’d be much resistance and them all seeing how much there is is changing the picture too.

Problem though is in the short term, it means they’ll up their firepower. It all has an impact though, they’ve already created martyrs out of some of the Ukrainians and they have even less chance of having stable rule if they flatten their cities too.

It’s already looking like this war is impossible to win for Putin.

The Ukrainian military is too well equipped for a bloodless drive into Kyiv and installing a puppet government.

The civilians taking up arms to defend their country has shattered the propaganda about Russia ‘liberating’ the country.

The sanctions seem to be bigger than most commentators expected and holdouts to the strongest sanctions like Germany are caving to pressure.
