It was a while ago but in the last Gulf war they shot down more British planes than the Iraqis, hopefully they have improved since then unlike the Russians.

As far as I can see, in the last gulf war the Americans only shot down one British plane, a Tornado, because his IFF wasn’t working properly. Although to be fair I don’t think the Iraqis shot any British planes down.

They also shot down one of their own as well - again by a patriot.
The amount of US planes shot down by Iraqis during the actual war, seems to be 1, according to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aviation_shootdowns_and_accidents_during_the_Iraq_War

When I was in the 1st Gulf War, our unit (Royal Corps of Transport) were attacked by American pilots, they said that they thought we were Iraqui.
EVERY one of our vehicles had a large Black V Sign painted so that pilots could distinguish between our vehicles and the Iraqui ones.
14 of my mates died that day because of the dumb fuck that was trigger happy.
