Russian invasion of Ukraine

Didn't @SPIDERBOY post the other day that the Ukrainian pilots had received training on these platforms?

In fairness they’re being trained now on Gripen too but there is no short term prospect of then getting any, it’s more ensuring they avoid the situation of this year with a tonne of equipment being promised but it taking an age to arrive and needing extensive training on before it can be deployed.

There must surely be a chance of getting these platforms whether now or in the near future if the west are going to the bother of training

They won’t ever be given membership whilst this conflict is ongoing.

At no point will NATO put itself into a position it has to go to war with Russia over this and rightly so.

Supply of training, weapons, tactics etc is as far as it is ever going to go for now.
What I meant is when this initial conflict is deemed over to prevent Russia doing similar in the future. Whether that ever becomes a viable option I’m not sure but Jens stoltenberg says they need to come onboard.

Once again another imformative video from "Reporting From Ukraine", this is from yesterday 16th June 2023.

This is the tactic everywhere at the moment. Bite off bits of the front line till you get to the strong defences in the rear. Western tank support of the attacks will be devastating.
Defence in depth seemed a good idea, but it is very wasteful on Russian lives when the Ukrainians prevent reinforcements getting to support with shell laid mines.
